Independence statement
We earn money from the bills you upload. So we state up front where the money comes from and how it does not influence the results.
1. Every affiliate link is disclosed
Insurance and vet-financing links at the end of a result may be affiliate links. If you sign up or apply, we may receive compensation from an insurer, comparison service or lender. A disclosure sentence always sits directly above such links. We follow each country's rules: FTC disclosure in the US, product-name-free comparison portal links only in Germany (Tippgeber principle), links without recommendation or explanation in Japan, and disclosure of material connections in Korea.
2. Verdicts are independent of advertising
Low, fair and high are computed only from public data and published rules. No affiliate, advertiser, clinic or insurer can touch the rules, wording or order. The rules are printed in the FAQ, and any change is logged with a date.
3. No clinic rankings
We do not publish clinic names and we do not build "cheapest clinic, most expensive clinic" lists. A comparison only shows where your bill sits within a regional distribution. Our B2B product for clinics is a benchmark of their own numbers against the regional distribution, not a public ranking.
4. No diagnosis or treatment judgments
We never say "this test was pointless" or "use this drug instead". We explain cost items, compare prices and draft questions for your vet.
5. Annual revenue disclosure
Every January we publish last year's revenue by stream (payments, affiliates, B2B) with percentages on this page. The first disclosure is January 2027. If one partner grows large enough to threaten independence, we say so.
6. Data is used only in anonymized form
Contributed data is used only as aggregates by amount, item and region, and original photos are deleted right after reading. We do not sell individual bills.
If we ever fall short of this statement, we will record the facts and the fix on this page. (Adopted 2026-10-11)
